WPRW Caring for America Program – BCAC

Just a reminder!! Caring for America Project for our October 4 meeting. See you there!!

At the August WPRW meeting we voted to donate to the BCAC’s (Brazoria County Alliance for Children) Rainbow Room. We will collect items at our September 6 and October 4, 2018 meetings. We hope you will consider a donation. Thanks
This is a list of their needs:
Rainbow Room
The most basic needs of children or families in crisis are often unavailable and caseworkers from DFPS typically cannot provide the necessities from their personal resources.
The Brazoria County Alliance for Children Rainbow Rooms are emergency resource centers stocked and supported by community volunteers. These rooms are utilized by DFPS caseworkers to distribute items to meet the basic needs of children and families in crisis. The 3 Rainbow Rooms in Brazoria County are located in the DFPS offices in Angleton and Pearland, as well as one that is located at the Angleton BCAC office.
All items in the rooms are new and are donated by members or organizations in the community. Some of these items include:

• Baby Formula

In October, I will get us the wish list of children in the foster program so we can donate to the “Christmas Partners Blessing Children” program. I was told that each child has one toy/item on their wish list. So we could each “sponsor” a child and get them their desired toy. Maybe we could even work out when members RSVP for the Christmas party, we give them the option to get a child’s wish list ahead of time and they bring it to the party.
